OUR MISSION
The purpose of First UB Church Van Wert is to lead people to Christ so that they will become disciples and grow to maturity in the Christian faith thus producing this faith in others.
Our people love learning more about Jesus from God's love letter, the Bible. We joyfully worship Him through music and our lives. We also actively look for ways to bless others through our giving and our service to others.
OUR PASTOR
MIKE BURTNETT
Mike began serving as First UB’s pastor in April 2025. He has over 20 years of experience serving in church and missions ministry, and he gets excited about helping people worship Jesus with their entire lives. Mike’s sermons are marked by a heavy emphasis on Scripture that also give suggestions on how to apply God’s Word to our lives.
Mike and his wife Jenny are blessed with five children, three of whom are young adults, and one grandchild.
